Social Prescriber is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including older people, people with disabilities, and people who are less confident with technology.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard.

What we have done

  • High contrast colours: dark text on light backgrounds

  • Plain English throughout, with no medical jargon
  • Keyboard navigable: the site can be used without a mouse
  • Screen reader friendly: all images have alternative text and forms have labels
  • No auto-playing media, flashing content or carousels
  • Mobile first: works well on phones and tablets
  • Breadcrumb navigation on all pages
  • Phone numbers are clickable on mobile
