We collect very little personal data.
You do not need to create an account to browse this website, and most pages do not collect any information about you. We only collect personal information if you choose to contact us or suggest a correction to a service listing — see the relevant sections below for details.
When you view a service listing, we record which service was viewed, which local area it relates to, and when it was viewed. This is anonymous; we do not record your IP address, name, or any information that could identify you personally. This data helps us understand which services are most useful to people in different areas.
Legal basis: Legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): improving access to community health services.
Our website uses a session cookie to keep the site functioning correctly. This does not contain any personal information about you.
Legal basis: Legitimate interests: necessary for the website to operate.
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It records page views, the referring URL, device type, browser name, and country. Country is derived from your IP address at the point of the request; the IP address itself is not stored or logged by Vercel Analytics. No cookies are set, and no information that could identify you personally is collected.
This data is processed by Vercel, Inc. (our hosting provider). See Vercel's privacy policy for details of their data handling.
Legal basis: Legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): understanding how the site is used so we can improve it.
Like all websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard server log data including IP addresses and pages requested. This is used solely for security and performance monitoring and is not retained beyond 30 days.
Legal basis: Legitimate interests: website security and performance.
If you fill in our contact form, we collect your name, email address and the message you write so we can read your enquiry and reply. We use a one-time maths question and a brief, in-memory record of your IP address only to prevent spam and automated submissions; the IP address is not written to our database.
How long we keep it: contact-form messages are kept for 12 months or less and then deleted. We may keep a message for longer if it relates to a safeguarding concern or a complaint we still need to act on, but we will delete it once the matter is resolved.
Who sees it: only the small team running this site. We do not share contact-form data with NHS systems, GPs, advertisers or any third party.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR — necessary to take steps to respond to your request.
When you use the “Suggest a correction” feature on a service page, we record what you tell us is wrong, the suggested correction, and the page you submitted it from. Providing your email address is optional — we only use it if we need to follow up. To help diagnose issues, the form also stores the page URL, referring page, and your browser’s user-agent string. We do not store your IP address against the suggestion.
How long we keep it: correction suggestions are kept for 12 months or less and then deleted, except where retaining them is necessary to investigate a serious accuracy concern.
Legal basis: Legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — keeping the directory accurate.

External links — some service listings include links to external websites, including Google Maps for directions. When you follow an external link, the privacy policy of that website applies. We do not share any personal data with third-party websites.

Because we collect no identifiable personal data, most of these rights are satisfied by design. If you have any concern, please contact us.
Service information on this website is gathered and verified through a combination of manual research and AI-assisted review. If you notice any incorrect or outdated information about a service, please let us know and we will address it promptly.
We may update this policy as the website develops. Any significant changes will be noted at the top of this page with an updated date.
