Local charity supporting over-50s across Barnsley with activities, advice and a specialist day centre.

Age UK Barnsley has worked locally since 1974, supporting over-50s. The Elizabeth Activity and Care Centre offers a safe, friendly space for older people who need extra support, including specialist help for health conditions, mobility issues, social isolation and dementia. Activities include gentle exercise, arts and crafts, music and reminiscence. They also run Men in Sheds and She Sheds workshops, free advice on benefits and care, and the BOPPAA physical activity directory.
