Support, advice and social activities for people aged 55+ across Barrow and the Furness Peninsula.
Age UK Barrow and District is based at College House in Barrow and supports older people aged 55 and above across the Furness Peninsula. The team gives information and advice on benefits, fuel poverty, housing and care, runs community-based social and physical activity groups for people experiencing isolation or living with long-term conditions, and offers dementia drop-in sessions for people with dementia and their carers. They also help with home adaptations, transport and befriending.
