Age UK Bury
Social Connection & Community · Charity · Bury
Local Age UK supporting older people across Bury borough with advice, day-centre activities, handyperson and safeguarding services.
Age UK Bury supports people of pension age and their families with information and advice on benefits, care, respite, disability, housing rights and transport. The main Jubilee Centre on Mosley Avenue runs activity groups, lunches and social sessions, and the Dumers Lane Community Project in Radcliffe offers day support. A handyperson service helps older people with small DIY and repair jobs in the home, and a dedicated safeguarding advice line supports older adults at risk of abuse. Referrals come via GPs, social prescribers, hospital teams and self-referral.
