Weekly friendly phone call from a trained volunteer for isolated East Sussex residents aged 55+.
Age UK East Sussex runs a free telephone befriending service for residents aged over 55 who feel isolated. A trained volunteer calls once a week at an agreed time for up to six months, with occasional in-person meet-ups where helpful. The aim is to ease loneliness and help people reconnect with their community so they no longer need ongoing support.
