Age UK Gateshead
Social Connection & Community · Charity · Gateshead - High Street
Local charity providing day centres, dementia hubs, advocacy, bereavement and active age services for older people in Gateshead.
Age UK Gateshead supports anyone aged 50 and over across the borough through day centres, advocacy, information and advice, lunch clubs, befriending and bereavement support. Their Active Age project runs exercise classes and walking groups, a dedicated Mens group reduces isolation, and a Dementia Hub at Christ Church Hall offers specialist activities and family support. Hospital-to-home workers ease the return home after admissions, and their advocacy service helps older people make decisions about care and finances.
