Free 24/7 telephone friendship helpline for people aged 55 and over experiencing loneliness and isolation.
The Silver Line, run by Age UK, is a free 24-hour telephone helpline for older people who want friendship, conversation or support. Anyone aged 55 or over can call 0800 4 70 80 90 any time, day or night. Calls are confidential. The service also runs Silver Line Friends, a weekly telephone befriending match with a regular volunteer. Available across the UK to anyone feeling lonely or isolated.
