Monthly culturally-aware support group for Asian carers in Slough.
The Asian Carers Group meets at Upton Lea Community Centre on Wexham Road, Slough SL2 5JW, on the first Thursday of each month from 1.30pm to 5pm. Sessions are free and offer culturally aware peer support, refreshments and information for South Asian carers. Group lead Pushpa Kharbanda, who can be reached on 01753 530579, was recognised in the BBC Radio Berkshire Make A Difference Awards. The group works alongside Slough Carers Support and Apna Virsa to celebrate Carers Week and reach carers in their own languages.
