ASSIST Sheffield
Social Connection & Community · Charity · Sheffield
Charity providing accommodation, support and weekly welfare payments to refused asylum seekers in Sheffield.
ASSIST Sheffield is the citys only charity focused on destitution among refused asylum seekers. Each week they support around 90 people who have lost government support, providing safe accommodation in volunteer hosts homes, a small weekly welfare payment, and information on places where people can meet others, learn English and become part of Sheffield. They also help clients pursue fresh asylum claims and connect with specialist legal advice.
