Portsmouth charity offering work opportunities and support for adults with learning disabilities.
The Beneficial Foundation was established in 1979 in Portsmouth to give adults with learning disabilities and other support needs route-to-work training, accredited courses and supported work experience. Trainees take on real paid and voluntary tasks producing handcrafted wood and gift items sold locally. The programme builds personal and social development alongside nationally recognised City and Guilds qualifications. The Foundation is listed on the Portsmouth Local Offer for adults aged post-16 with special educational needs and disabilities.
