Specialist domestic abuse refuge, IDVA, outreach and helpline service across Berkshire.
Berkshire Womens Aid runs four refuges in Reading and Wokingham with 39 bed spaces for women and children fleeing abuse. The helpline 0808 801 0882 takes more than 5,000 calls a year, supporting survivors of all genders alongside the IDVA and outreach teams. Specialist programmes include children and young people work, the Aim for Change recovery offer and group peer support. In a recent year BWA rehoused over 50 women and 110 children and trained 200+ professionals.
