Bexhill charity offering volunteer help with shopping, sitting, home-library and befriending for older or isolated people.
Bexhill Caring Community, a registered charity since 1965, is based at 17 Western Road, Bexhill-on-Sea (Mon to Fri 9am to 3pm, phone 01424 215116). Services include a volunteer home library for the housebound, befriending visits, form filling, a community car service for medical appointments and Dial-A-Ride for local trips. The team also keeps an approved list of self-employed cleaners, gardeners and odd-job workers, plus domiciliary carers, for older and lonely residents of all ages.
