Local independent dementia charity supporting people with dementia and their carers in Barnsley.
Barnsley Independent Alzheimers and Dementia Support (BIADS) is a Barnsley-based charity founded in 2010. They support people across Barnsley borough with any form of dementia and their carers, families and friends. At the Joseph Exley Centre on Dodworth Road, a Carer Support team provides ongoing advice from diagnosis onwards, and the service runs activities, group support, day care and home visits. All funds and donations stay local to benefit Barnsley members.
