Manchester charity ending destitution among refugees and asylum seekers, providing accommodation and trauma-informed support for those with no recourse to public funds.
The Boaz Trust has been supporting people made homeless by the asylum process in Manchester since 2004. It provides stable accommodation for refused asylum seekers and refugees with no recourse to public funds, plus a Refugee Homelessness Prevention Project for people newly granted status. Trauma-informed caseworkers help with food, clothing, transport, mental health, legal advice and finding longer-term housing. In 2024-25 the team supported 92 moves into accommodation. Referrals come from solicitors, councils, the Red Cross, MRSN and other partners.
