Bright Shedders is a Men's Shed charity in Brightlingsea offering a workshop and social space for men to come together for woodworking and other practical activities while combating loneliness. The shed is part of the wider Essex Shed Network and is housed near Lower Park Playing Field. The model supports mental wellbeing and friendship through 'shoulder-to-shoulder' working.

Who it's for
Who they help: Men of all ages, especially those who are retired, isolated, bereaved or seeking peer company
Eligibility: Men aged 18+ living in Brightlingsea or surrounding parts of east Colchester and Tendring.
Area covered: Brightlingsea
Not suitable for: Sheds are traditionally for men only, though some sessions can be open to women - check with the shed leader. New members need a short safety induction before using power tools.
