Surrey charity providing free emotional support and bereavement programmes for those facing life-limiting illness.
The Brigitte Trust has supported Surrey families facing terminal illness since 1984 and is based at 296 High Street, Dorking (RH4 1QT). Free help covers cancer, motor neurone disease, end-stage organ failure and other life-limiting conditions and includes weekly home-visiting volunteers, post-funeral bereavement visits up to three months and free workshops on cancer treatments, wills and palliative care. Over 100 volunteers deliver around 5,800 hours of support and 1,400 visits and calls to roughly 400 clients each year. Phone 01306 881816.

Eligibility: Surrey residents with a life-limiting illness, their carers and bereaved family members.
Area covered: Mole Valley
Not suitable for: Residents outside Surrey are not eligible for the volunteer home-visiting service.
