Specialist refuge, helpline and advocacy for women and children escaping domestic abuse.
Birmingham and Solihull Womens Aid supports women, children and non-binary people affected by domestic abuse across both boroughs. Services include refuge accommodation, independent domestic violence advocates, court support, counselling and group programmes, led by experienced women workers. The BSWA helpline is 0808 800 0028 Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5pm with an out of hours answerphone for refuge access. The team is based at Bank House, 36-38 Bristol Street, Birmingham B5 7AA and can also be reached at info@bswaid.org; self-referral and professional referrals are both welcome.
