Community foodbank serving Burngreave and inner Sheffield, providing 3-day emergency food parcels.
Burngreave Foodbank works from the Rock Christian Centre on Spital Hill, providing emergency three day food parcels to local people in crisis. During the first six months of the pandemic they supplied more than 1,700 parcels. Visitors need a voucher from a local referral agency such as the GP, social worker or Citizens Advice. Volunteers also sit with each person for a hot drink and signpost to longer-term help.
