Free NHS therapeutic care and grief therapy for people who have experienced perinatal loss, provided by EPUT in Basildon and Brentwood.
By Your Side is a free maternal mental health service provided by Essex Partnership University NHS Trust (EPUT) in collaboration with midwifery colleagues, covering Basildon and Brentwood. It offers therapeutic care and grief therapy for people who were pregnant and have experienced a perinatal loss including miscarriage, stillbirth, termination of pregnancy (for any reason) or neonatal death. The team aims to be 'by your side' during a devastating time, providing specialist bereavement support. Available to both women and their partners.

Who it's for
Who they help: People who were pregnant and have experienced any perinatal loss
Eligibility: Anyone who has experienced perinatal loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, TFMR, neonatal death) in the Basildon and Brentwood area
Area covered: Basildon and Brentwood
Not suitable for: This service is only for people who live in Basildon or Brentwood. If you live in another part of Essex, similar maternal mental health support is available through your local NHS service.
