Deaf-led charity supporting Deaf and hard-of-hearing people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough with advice, drop-ins and BSL learning.
The Cambridgeshire Deaf Association has supported Deaf people and people with hearing loss for over 100 years and now also delivers Cambridgeshire Hearing Help, which transferred to CDA in April 2022. The team runs regular Deaf Drop-Ins across Cambridge, Ely, Fenland, Huntingdon and Peterborough offering advice in BSL on housing, benefits, work, family matters and communication aids. Who it's for
Who they help: Deaf and hard-of-hearing adults and children, BSL learners, families
Eligibility: Deaf, deafblind and hard-of-hearing people of any age in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Area covered: Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
Not suitable for: Some services (BSL classes, specialist casework) may have fees or waiting lists. People needing immediate audiology should contact their NHS hearing service or GP.
