Charity providing volunteer-led help at home, community navigators and befriending for older and isolated people across Cambridgeshire.
Care Network Cambridgeshire works across the county to help people stay well, independent and connected. Three main services run: Help at Home, with practical and emotional support after illness or hospital; Community Car Schemes, a gateway to local lift services; and one-to-one Wellbeing support to boost mood, confidence and independence. Who it's for
Who they help: Older adults, people leaving hospital, isolated or vulnerable adults
Eligibility: Adults living in Cambridgeshire who are isolated, recovering from illness, recently discharged from hospital or experiencing a crisis at home.
Area covered: Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
Not suitable for: Standard help-at-home support is short-term (up to six weeks) and not a substitute for regulated home care or nursing. People in Peterborough city should also contact Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough for ongoing visiting support.
