Carecent is a long-running breakfast centre at Central Methodist Church serving homeless, unemployed and socially excluded people in York. It runs Monday to Saturday 8.30-10.45am with a hot breakfast, tea and coffee, alongside showers, a clothing store, toiletries and laundry. A hairdresser and podiatrist visit monthly. On Thursday afternoons 1-3pm a warm space opens. Volunteers listen, support and signpost to housing, mental health, probation and substance use services.
