County-wide charity offering unpaid carers in Dorset advice, peer groups, training and one-to-one support, free of charge.
Carer Support Dorset offers free, confidential help to unpaid carers across Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. The dedicated helpline is 0800 368 8349, open Monday to Thursday 9.30am-4.30pm and Friday 9.30am-4pm, with email at admin@carersupportdorset.co.uk. Carer Advisers listen to your situation, refer you to Dorset Council for a statutory Carers Assessment if needed, and link you to local groups and respite. Carers do not need to live with the person they look after or be caring full-time.
