Carers Count is the Kirklees one stop shop for unpaid carers. They give information, advice, advocacy, training, peer support and group work to anyone looking after a family member or friend due to illness or disability. Their Mental Health Service supports carers of people with mental health conditions or drug/alcohol dependency, offering 1:1 emotional support, carer breaks and facilitated groups. Based at Brian Jackson House in Huddersfield serving Kirklees and Calderdale.
