Carers First delivers Waltham Forests unpaid carers service for around 18,000 adult carers in the borough, reached on 0300 303 1555. Support includes 1-2-1 practical and emotional help, online guidance covering benefits, legal matters, self-care, employment and hospital discharge, peer groups, condition-specific information and educational workshops. Statutory carers assessments and a dedicated young carer offer are also available. Anyone can register directly or be referred by a professional through the online system.
