County-wide service for unpaid carers in Oxfordshire delivering information, advice, breaks and support groups.
Carers Oxfordshire is the council-commissioned service for unpaid adults aged 18+ caring for someone in the county, delivered by Action for Carers. Support includes carer assessments, peer groups, learning and training, contingency planning, links to Oxfordshire Talking Therapies and phone friendship. Carers also get a Carer ID and Max Card and the Care Matters Magazine. The team reports 99 percent satisfaction with support and 99 percent of carers saying it improved their mental wellbeing. Paid care workers and volunteers are not eligible.
