Free Plymouth service offering one-to-one support, breaks and groups for unpaid carers looking after a family member or friend.
Caring for Carers is Plymouths main support service for unpaid adult carers and is delivered by the charity Improving Lives Plymouth from 156 Mannamead Road, Plymouth PL3 5QL (01752 201890). Adults aged 18 and over caring for a partner, family member or friend can request a carers assessment, apply for grants to support their wellbeing and access a carers personal budget. Improving Lives Plymouth also runs a dedicated Young Adult Carers Service for ages 18 to 25 with 1:1 support and monthly drop-ins.
