Volunteer-led group offering practical support, English coaching and friendship to refugees and asylum seekers in Carlisle.
Carlisle Refugee Action Group (CRAG) is a volunteer-led organisation founded in 2015 to support refugees, asylum seekers and resettled families in Carlisle. Volunteers provide essentials such as clothing and footwear, run a Conversation Cafe and English language coaching, host family and youth activities, organise sports sessions and help with resettlement. CRAG signposts to legal, health and education services and is part of the Carlisle City of Sanctuary movement.
