Cookery and food-skills sessions for people experiencing homelessness in Canterbury.
Catching Lives runs Sainsburys-funded cookery classes for guests of its Canterbury day centre on Station Road East, helping people experiencing homelessness build confidence, food skills and routines. Talented local chefs lead sessions, including Holly Batterbee of Samphire in Whitstable, Will Burnett from Fern and Farrow in Bishopsbourne, Julian D Brown from Cliftonville Dining Room in Margate, and Michael and Freya from The Pig in Bridge. The day centre is open daily for drop-in 9am-2pm (1pm on Wednesdays) and also serves a breakfast and freshly prepared two-course lunch.
