Chelmsford City Council's Housing Solutions Service supports residents who are homeless or threatened with homelessness within the next eight weeks, with a legal duty to assess your circumstances and produce a personal housing plan. People can apply online or call 01245 606400; the team will respond within two working days, or sooner for emergencies, and the out-of-hours number is 01245 606644. The service also covers housing benefit, sheltered housing, the Crisis and Resilience Fund and rough sleeper alerts via StreetLink.
