Citizens Advice Manchester is the citys main generalist advice provider, offering free, confidential help on debt, welfare benefits (including Universal Credit and PIP), housing, employment, immigration, consumer issues and family law. Advice is available by phone on Adviceline, by video and at community hubs across Manchester, with no appointment needed. A mobile advice unit visits neighbourhoods including Wythenshawe, Harpurhey and Cheetham Hill. Specialist money advisers help people facing eviction, court action or unmanageable debts to negotiate with creditors and apply for Debt Relief Orders.
