City of Sanctuary Sheffield
Social Connection & Community · Charity · Sheffield
Charity helping Sheffield be a place of welcome for asylum seekers, refugees and migrants.
City of Sanctuary Sheffield led the UKs first City of Sanctuary movement, started in 2007. They run The Sanctuary community centre and safe space at Chapel Walk, offering relaxed drop-ins, conversation groups, advice and refreshments. The Multi-Agency Drop-In is a citywide advice hub for people seeking sanctuary, and the SPRING project supports newly recognised refugees with housing, benefits, English and routes into volunteering, training and work.
