Community Angels is a befriending project of the Guildford Town Centre Chaplaincy, working alongside Guildford Street Angels. Trained volunteers commit to six months of weekly face-to-face support for adults in Guildford borough facing loneliness, isolation, illness, disability or other difficulties. Support is personalised - from chatting over a cup of tea to going for walks, trying a new activity or being signposted to other help. Most referrals come from social workers, health professionals and other local charities, with Voluntary Action South West Surrey managing volunteers.
