Hackney's ageing well partnership funding projects that reduce isolation for residents aged 50 and over.
Connect Hackney was a 5.8 million pound Ageing Better programme funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and managed by Hackney CVS, running from 2015 to test ways to reduce loneliness for residents aged 50 plus. In phase one alone it invested in 23 local projects covering arts, digital skills, peer-led groups and outreach. It informed the boroughs Ageing Well Strategy and the website now stands as a legacy resource for older peoples projects in Hackney.
