Connected Voice (formerly Newcastle CVS) is the lead voluntary sector support body for Newcastle and Gateshead, supporting more than 580 charities and community groups. They offer free organisational development, funding advice, governance training and business support to small charities, plus an independent advocacy service for adults with care and support needs. Volunteering Newcastle and Gateshead Volunteer Centre help residents find local opportunities, while their Haref programme tackles health inequalities in racialised and minoritised communities.
