County Durham Foodbank runs a busy distribution centre at Consett Methodist Church on Station Road. Open every weekday morning, the team gives out three days of nutritionally balanced emergency food, fuel vouchers and a listening ear. Volunteers also signpost people to debt advice, benefits checks and other help across Derwentside. Referral by a partner agency is needed to access food.
