Cumbria Deaf Association
Long-term Conditions · Charity · Carlisle
Independent Cumbria charity supporting Deaf, deafblind and hard-of-hearing people with care, BSL interpreting and social groups.
Cumbria Deaf Association has supported deaf people since 1894. From its Carlisle hub the charity offers BSL interpreting, deaf awareness training and BSL courses, alongside tailored care packages, communicator guides and advocacy for Deaf and Deafblind adults. Social groups bring members together, and support workers — many Deaf themselves — provide companionship, light household support and help to access community life. Outreach covers all of Cumbria.
