Free green social prescribing programme connecting patients with nature-based wellbeing activities in Guildford.
Dose of Nature is a green social prescribing programme founded in 2019 by counselling psychologist Dr Alison Greenwood, operating at Dapdune Wharf in Guildford. Patients referred by one of 19 local GPs in North and East Guildford and East Waverley first see a psychologist for an assessment, then meet a trained volunteer guide weekly for an hour over eight weeks. Activities include guided walks, tree-laxation and nature journaling. After the course, clients can keep attending community events for free.
