ECC: Early Help and Wellbeing Team

Free short-term support for adults with low-level mental health difficulties including anxiety, low mood and depression. NOT a crisis service.
The ECC Early Help and Wellbeing Team provides free, short-term early intervention support for adults aged 18-65 in Essex (excluding Southend and Thurrock) experiencing low-level mental health difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, depression and stress. The multi-disciplinary team includes social workers, occupational therapists, support workers and an employment specialist. Support typically lasts 3-9 months and focuses on goals the person wants to achieve to improve their wellbeing, including their social situation. This is NOT a crisis service. In an emergency call 999 or NHS 111 Option 2. Public self-referrals via Frontline only. Professionals call 0333 032 2958.

Who it's for
Who they help: Adults 18-65 with low-level mental health difficulties (anxiety, depression, low mood, stress) causing a social care need
Eligibility: Adults aged 18-65 living in Essex (not Southend or Thurrock). With or without a diagnosis.
Area covered: Essex (excl. Southend and Thurrock)
Not suitable for: This team supports adults aged 18 to 64 who live in Essex, but not in Southend or Thurrock. It is not a crisis service, so it is not suitable if you are in a mental health crisis.
