ECFRS — Home Fire Safety Visits
Advice: Money, Housing & Work · Public Service · Essex
Free home fire safety visit from Essex County Fire and Rescue Service for vulnerable people or those concerned about a household.
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service (ECFRS) offers free Home Fire Safety Visits for anyone who supports or lives with someone who would struggle to leave their home in an emergency. The visit is particularly recommended for people concerned about clutter or hoarding, those making unsafe choices about heating, cooking or drying clothes, those showing signs of poor health, self-neglect or substance use that makes them drowsy, or anyone with mobility difficulties. A fire safety specialist checks the home, provides advice on risks and can fit free smoke alarms.
