Community hub in Cheriton supporting the Nepalese community and combatting loneliness.
Folkestone Nepalese Community Centre (charity 1193139) is based at Baker Road, Folkestone CT19 4NN and runs a packed weekly programme to reduce loneliness, build wellbeing and support integration while preserving Nepalese heritage. Activities include beginner and intermediate ESOL classes, IT and digital literacy support, Tai Chi, Nepalese handicrafts, Stitch and Chat and community garden sessions. Specialist clinics cover the Hypertension Heroes health programme, an Armed Forces Veterans drop-in on the second Thursday of each month and Gurkha Welfare Trust advice on the last Thursday.
