Volunteer-run foodbank serving Whitby and surrounding coastal and moorland villages with emergency food parcels.
The Foodbank for Whitby and District is a registered charity based at Whitby Evangelical Church on Skinner Street. Around 33 volunteers help children, older people, disabled people and others affected by poverty by providing emergency food parcels in crisis. Coverage extends across Whitby and surrounding moorland and coastal villages. Referrals come through schools, social workers and other frontline agencies. They work alongside the Trussell network and local churches to keep food flowing year round.
