Workington-based charity supporting survivors, perpetrators and children affected by domestic and sexual abuse across West Cumbria.
The Freedom Project West Cumbria provides free, long-term, community-based support for people affected by domestic and sexual abuse. Working from Lillyhall in Workington, the team supports survivors to move on safely, helps perpetrators change abusive behaviour, and offers therapeutic recovery work with children and young people. Services include one-to-one casework, group programmes, counselling and family work. In 2024-25 the project supported over 750 people across Allerdale and Copeland.
