Gaddum is a Manchester-based charity that delivers the carers service for Salford. The team works with unpaid adult carers and young carers of all ages who support someone living in Salford or registered with a Salford GP. Support includes carer assessments, one-to-one support, peer groups, training, counselling, help with benefits and signposting to short breaks. A separate Young Carers Service supports children and young people aged 5-18. Referrals come from GPs, social workers, social prescribers, schools, family members or self-referral.
