Membership charity for unpaid adult carers in Gateshead offering information, training and respite support.
Gateshead Carers Association is a membership organisation run by and for unpaid carers, supporting more than 5,000 adult carers in the borough every year. From John Haswell House in central Gateshead they offer information, advice and signposting, peer support groups, education and training sessions, working carer support and respite services. Workers also visit hospitals and GP practices to identify and support hidden carers. Membership is free to anyone over 18 caring for an adult family member or friend in Gateshead.
