Day centre offering social activities, lunch and stimulation for isolated housebound elderly people in Halstead and surrounding rural areas.
Halstead Day Centre offers a friendly environment for isolated people aged 60+ from Halstead and around 16 surrounding villages, providing low-intensity services that support physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Activities include daily movement-to-music classes, board and card games, debates, speakers, bingo and craft, with a two-course lunch and beverages provided. The centre also organises shopping trips, a bathing-with-dignity service and twice-yearly trips to its own beach hut in Brightlingsea. Transport is provided to and from members' homes by MiDAS-trained drivers.
