Harbour is a specialist North East domestic abuse charity that has supported survivors since 1974. In North Tyneside they run a refuge and community-based services, offering Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs) for people at high risk, outreach support across the borough and group recovery programmes. Practical help covers safety planning, court advocacy, housing and benefits. Childrens workers offer specialist support to young people who have witnessed abuse, and the team works with both victims and perpetrators in separate programmes.
