Elm Park community charity for South Asian residents in Havering providing health, social, educational and lunch club activities.
Havering Asian Social and Welfare Association (HASWA) is an Asian community-led charity open to everyone regardless of age, gender, religion or background. From its Elm Park base it runs yoga, chair yoga, Bollywood Active fitness, a weekly lunch club, community outings and venue hire. The team celebrates Lohri, Vaisakhi, Teeyan, Diwali and Christmas, working to reduce social disadvantage, promote independence and encourage healthier lifestyles among isolated and elderly residents.
