Independent consumer champion gathering Newham residents' experiences of NHS and social care services and signposting to local support.
Healthwatch Newham is the boroughs independent health and social care champion based at the Stratford Advice Arcade. Programmes include Enter and View visits to hospitals, care homes and day centres, a Community Listening Ears mental health initiative, the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership, a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Advisory Board and Young Healthwatch Newham. The team publishes quarterly experience reports and recent focus group work has covered breast cancer awareness.
